BEST BUS BUYS MACHINES TO COUNT COINS!!!!

BEST has bought two coin counting-machines to process a mountain of currency received since fares were cut on July 9. BEST have collected 1.05 Cr  of 5 Rs coin.

Why BEST doesn't accept online method like paytm, google pay and phonepe??? India should have one common every were useful travel cards and pass like foreign countries, it will easier to carry those card. Spending on coins count machine we should spend money on technology

END of an Era

Mumbai's iconic double-decker buses will be taken off the road due to high cost of operation &  reducing space on city roads. The double-decker buses will be phased out completely by october 2023.
The Brihanmumbai Electric supply and Transport (BEST) is planning to phase out the buses in two phases 72 buses by December 2020 and 48 by October 2023 as per the report. BEST is facing challenges in maintaining the double-decker buses as it costs them more compare to normal buses.

Double-decker buses were introduced in 1937 as it a part of historic it is operating before the independence. Now Double-decker buses is replaced by more modern buses. 

The civic-run Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & transport (Best) undertaking a great action to reduce the bus fares in order to boost ridership and income. The minimum AC fare has been brought down from Rs 20 to Rs 6 and the maximum fare has been kept at Rs 25. Once implemented, the fare slab for Non-AC regular buses will be Rs 5, 10, 15 & 20 while it will be Rs 6, 13, 19 and Rs 25 for AC buses.
